Design language

Shaped by Indian art traditions.

The visual language draws from regional craft — warm earth tones, geometric welcome patterns, and block-print rhythm — built for merchants across India.

  • Bihar · Madhubani

    Bold outlines

Double-line motifs and nature forms inspire section borders and emphasis.

    Gujarat · Ajrakh

    Block-print stars

Diamond repeats texture backgrounds like resist-dyed cotton from Kutch.

  • Maharashtra · Warli

    Geometric rhythm

Triangle and line repeats appear in dividers between major sections.

    Mughal · Jaali

    Lattice screens

Interlocking geometry overlays the page — light filtering through stone.

  • Tamil Nadu · Kolam

    Welcome patterns

Dot-and-loop symmetry frames the hero — auspicious, precise, inviting.

    Rajasthan · Bandhani

    Tie-dye dots

Scattered bindi-like points halo shop-type icons and accent surfaces.

How it works

Take your shop online — step by step.

Five simple steps — register, set up your shop, try it out, choose a look, and start selling where customers already browse.

  • 01

    Register your shop

Sign up on Shops and open your account — the place where everything you sell online lives, whether you run one neighbourhood store or several.

    • Ready in minutes, no technical setup
    • Add family or staff who help at the counter
    • One login if you operate more than one shop
  • 02

Set up each shop you run

Running a kirana, a fashion line, and a second branch? Add each shop separately — all under one account, kept clear and easy to manage.

    • One shop or many — your choice
    • Each business stays separate
    • Add new shops anytime as you grow
  • 03

    Try first, then go live

Every shop gets a practice version to add products and check orders, and a live version for real customers. We prepare both — you focus on what you sell.

    • Practice shop to test without risk
    • Live shop when you're ready to sell
    • Catalog, checkout, and payments handled for you
  • 04

    Pick how your shop looks

Choose a storefront design that suits what you sell — groceries, clothes, handicrafts, and more. Make it feel like your dukaan, not a generic website.

    • Designs built for Indian shop types
    • Try the look on your practice shop first
    • Your shop name and style out front
  • 05

    Get found by new customers

When your products, checkout, and shop front are ready, list on Shops — where buyers browse neighbourhood stores and brands from across Bharat.

    • Visible alongside other trusted sellers
    • Only goes live when your shop is ready
    • Your stall in the digital bazaar

Why teams switch

Less assembly. More selling.

Operators use Shops to stand up Medusa environments without rebuilding Kubernetes, Helm, and DNS for every tenant.

  • Minutes

Typical path from organization create to a provisioned environment workflow.

  • 1 + 1

One production and one preview environment per project — clear, not sprawling.

  • N storefronts

Attach themed fronts per environment via sales channels and publishable keys.

  • Step-visible

Temporal activities make provision retryable instead of a black-box Helm install.

Testimonials

What early operators say.

Feedback from teams provisioning commerce stacks on the platform.

  • “We stopped babysitting Helm releases. Create the org, kick the workflow, and the Medusa stack is there — Postgres, Redis, server, worker — with a dashboard link when it's ready.”

    Anup

    Platform operator

  • “Preview and production in the same project finally matches how we ship. I can try a theme and region on preview, then promote without rebuilding the whole environment by hand.”

    Shivani

    Commerce lead

  • “Storefront attach is the unlock. Backend provision used to be the whole project; now picking a theme and publishable key is a separate, clear step.”

    Founding engineer, multi-brand retailer

Q&A

Shops FAQ

Short answers to the questions we hear most. Deeper notes live in docs.

  • What is Shops?

Shops is a commerce cloud that provisions Medusa backends and themed storefronts for each customer organization. Tenancy is modeled as Organization → Project → Environment on Kubernetes.

  • What does Shops provision?

Each environment gets a Medusa stack — server, worker, Postgres, and Redis — via modular Helm releases orchestrated by Temporal. Storefronts are attached separately with a theme, region, and publishable key.

  • How is this different from installing Medusa myself?

You get the operator dashboard, hierarchical namespaces, workflow-visible provision, DNS surfaces under shops.quest, and a path to preview + production without assembling the control plane yourself.

  • Can I run more than one storefront?

Yes. Storefronts are first-class resources under an environment. Multiple fronts can share a Medusa backend through sales channels.

  • Where do I manage environments?

Use the operator dashboard at https://cloud.shops.quest. Create an organization, add a project, provision environments, and open admin URLs from there.

  • Where can I read more?

Start with the product overview and platform health docs, or contact us.
